Pre-requisite: Intro to Odor

This class builds on the skills from Intro to Odor, with a primary focus on maintaining a strong positive association with odor while gradually introducing emerging teamwork. Dogs continue to work independently, but with the handler taking a more active role in reward delivery.

While communication between dog and handler starts to evolve, the emphasis remains on ensuring the dog’s enthusiasm, independence, and drive for odor. Each week, searches are thoughtfully designed to support clarity, confidence, and continued progress while building a foundation for effective teamwork.
